I'm grateful to be the faculty advisor for the Student Antiracism and Intersectionality Advisory Council (SAIAC) at Ball State University. SAIAC's mission is to develop strategies that will cultivate understandings of race and intersectionality while dismantling racist ideologies. We aim to equip students and educators of all backgrounds with materials and knowledge on how to engage in anti-racism on campus and in all of their endeavors. In my role as Assistant Director of African American Studies at Ball State University, I'm fortunate to work with phenomenal colleagues, especially the award-winning scholar, teacher, and community advocate Dr. Kiesha Warren-Gordon.
